The farm
The region of Sabina is well known for its olive oil, which we believe is the best in Italy.

Part of the farmhouse holiday centre is also a 8 hectar organic farm on the hill nearby: here, surrounded by mediterranean scrub , there are 3 hectares olive trees and 1 hectar apriricot trees, and the owner’s house.
About the Sabinian olive oil
Olive trees have been present in Sabina since the time of the ancient Romans and were always an important part of the local economy.

Evidence of this is provided by the presence of a famous olive tree near Fara Sabina (30 minutes drive distant): it is more than two thousand years old and still producing olives. From its shape you can tell that it has always been taken care of and pruned, and it is so big that 6 people are needed to embrace it.
The region of Sabina is still well known for the olive oil, which we believe is the best in Italy. The Sabinian was the first extra virgin olive in Italy to obtain the label D.O.C. (certified origin and quality).
About our olive trees

Though some of them are age-old, most were planted in 1994.
The varieties we cultivate include moraiolo, leccino, carboncella, frantoio, raja, and pendolino.

They have always been cultivated following the rules of organic farming, and are certified by Suolo & Salute (authority which certifies that my farm products are organic).
About our Organic Olive Oil

The olives are collected in October and November, and pressed traditionally with no heat in a certified local oil press.

We would like you to try our organic olive oil: it has a very low grade of acidity, it is slightly fruity and light... and of course we believe that it is really excellent.
About our organic Apricots:
They are available/present - the season being favorable - from the end of May to the beginning of July. The varieties of apricot trees that we cultivate are: Aurora, Perla, Antonio Errani, Sunjant , and Noemi.
